The WSDOT Active Transportation Programs Design Guide is for local agencies and tribal governments preparing Safe Routes to School, Pedestrian and Bicyclist, and Sandy Williams Connecting Community program applications on local roads.  It provides details for treatments that the program will favor for funding. 

As it is for safety programs, the guide emphasizes treatments intended to provide safer conditions for people who walk, bike, and roll, also known as pedestrians and bicyclists.

Active Transportation Design Guide plan sheet details

Plan sheet detail files in DWG (AutoCAD Drawing) and DGN (MicroStation Design) formats are utilized to accurately convey engineering, architectural, or construction-related details as part of the design documentation process. These drawings were developed and provided "as is". The user assumes full responsibility for the plan’s adequacy to address a specific construction situation and for any alterations to the drawing by the user.
