What to expect

The contractor has completed the soil nail wall, ending the need for nighttime full closures of US 101. The first phase of work is now complete. The timeline for the permanent repairs is not yet finalized.

One lane of US 101 remains open. Travelers will still see one-way alternating traffic controlled by a signal around the clock until permanent highway repairs are made. Contractor and maintenance crews will continue to repair any cracks and potholes that appear in the open lane. A 25 MPH speed limit remains in place.
