What to expect

In addition to grinding out the existing surface and inlaying with new asphalt, contractor crews will crack-seal the planed surface before paving. Further work includes installing centerline rumble strips, replacing guide posts, and striping. During construction, travelers can expect one-way alternating traffic with flaggers, with wait times up to 20 minutes. Please remember to slow down in work zones and watch for road crews.

This section of SR 904 was last paved in 2002 using a cold-in-place recycle method. Further rehabilitation work included chip sealing in 2007 and 2013. The roadway has reached the end of its service life and needs repaving. Once complete, this stretch of roadway will be preserved for years to come.
