Project overview
Crews working for WSDOT applied spray sealant to the bridge deck and soffits near expansion joints in both directions of the State Route 520 Evergreen Point floating bridge. The sealant will protect the bridge from corrosion, prolong its service life and help keep the bridge in a state of good repair.
What to expect
Work is complete.
Spray sealant was applied to both directions of the SR 520 Evergreen Point floating bridge from just east of Montlake Boulevard East to just west of Evergreen Point Road.
The bridge deck and expansion joints of the SR 520 Bridge and the west and east approaches need to be protected against erosion and degradation from moisture every five years. This project will seal the concrete surfaces of the bridge to preserve the service life and the overall integrity of the bridge.
