Project overview
As part of WSDOT's major efforts to remove barriers to fish, this project addresses multiple barriers to fish under SR 108 between McCleary and Kamilche and one location on US 101 near the Mason/Thurston County line.
What to expect
There are two locations on SR 108 where WSDOT is considering allowing the design-build contractor to have short-term total closures of the highway which would shorten the overall timeline for construction. Temporary bypass roads likely could take travelers around the work zones at two other locations on SR 108.
On US 101, the barriers to fish run under both directions of the highway. WSDOT will work with the design-builder to determine means to help keep travelers moving while completing the project.
