Project overview
Crews working for WSDOT will perform crack sealing and asphalt patching on numerous state highways in King and Snohomish counties. The sealing, and patching work will maintain the structural integrity of these sections of roadway for years and improve the driving surface.
What to expect
When construction begins in spring 2027, highway users can expect nighttime lane and ramp closures in most locations. Dates for closures have not been determined.

In 2027, we plan to repair sections of roadway on 13 highways in King and Snohomish counties. Asphalt and concrete surfaces on these roads have deteriorated over time. Many now have a patchwork of repairs to fill potholes, ruts and cracks. Strategic crack sealing combined with targeted pavement rehabilitation will extend the service life of these roads and provide a smoother trip for highway users.
