Project overview
This project improved four miles of southbound Interstate 5 in Everett, from Broadway Avenue to 100th Street Southeast. Crews working for WSDOT replaced aging pavement, creating a smoother driving surface for years to come. This project also replaced traffic loops, pavement markings and replace bridge joints.

Contractor crews began work July 19, 2025.
This project rehabilitated about four miles of southbound I-5 in Everett, from Broadway Avenue to 100th Street Southeast.
More than 95,000 vehicles travel on southbound I-5 through Everett every day. This section of pavement started to show signs of deterioration and was due for paving to maintain a good state of repair.
