Public meeting helps community and WSDOT connect on US 2/Colbert Road issues north of Spokane

Jan. 16 meeting to be held at Mountainside Middle School in Colbert

COLBERT – The community is invited to a Jan. 16 meeting where representatives from the Washington State Department of Transportation will listen to concerns and share information about the intersection of US 2 near Colbert Road, located 14 miles north of Spokane.

Three recent crashes at the intersection of US 2 and Colbert Road led to increasing concerns about collisions and driver safety. Citizens requested a meeting with WSDOT to voice their concerns.

Representatives from WSDOT’s US 2 corridor project team in Eastern Washington, including the traffic manager, project engineer, planning manager and the regional administrator will provide a background on the intersection and discuss how projects are prioritized and funded.
