NORTH OF DENNY WAY

August 13 - 23: Denny Way reduced to 1 lane in each direction between Sixth Avenue and Dexter Avenue for duct bank work. Lane reduction in place 8 p.m. - 5 a.m. weekdays.

August 23 - 26: Denny Way reduced to 1 lane in each direction between Sixth Avenue and Dexter Avenue for duct bank work. Lane reduction in place 9 p.m. Friday - 5 a.m. Monday.

July 29 - early September: John Street is closed on the west side of Seventh Avenue North.

August 19 - mid-September: Thomas Street is closed on the west side of Seventh Avenue North.

Ongoing: Seventh Avenue North is reduced to one lane in each direction between Denny Way and Harrison Street for North Surface Street construction. Sidewalks on both sides of Seventh Avenue will be closed for rebuilding.

BELLTOWN

Summer: Expect single lane closures on and near Battery Street between First and Sixth avenues for ongoing utility work inside the Battery Street Tunnel.

DOWNTOWN WATERFRONT

Ongoing: Crews have begun removing the Alaskan Way Viaduct. Visit the work tracker to see current work locations and street closures.

Ongoing: Columbia Street is closed to vehicles between First Avenue and Alaskan Way by the Waterfront Seattle Program. Visit their website for more details.

SOUTH OF YESLER WAY

August 21: S. Washington, S. Main and S. Jackson streets are closed at Alaskan Way. Alaskan Way is reduced to two lanes between Columbia Street and South King Street.

UPCOMING NIGHTTIME NOISE WORK

  • Ongoing: Crews have begun removing the Alaskan Way Viaduct at multiple locations along Seattle's waterfront. Read more about what to expect from demolition.
  • August 13 - 26: Crews wil be working 8 p.m - 5 a.m. at the intersection of Denny Way and Seventh Avenue North.
  • August 26 - September 9: Crews will be working at night at the intersection of Third Avenue and Battery Street. Work includes drilling, pouring concrete and setting steel frames.
