NORTH OF DENNY WAY

July 22-24: Southbound Seventh Avenue North will be closed overnight for work at the intersection with Denny Way. Southbound traffic will be detoured at John Street.

July: John Street will be closed on the east side of Seventh Avenue North.

Ongoing: Seventh Avenue North is reduced to one lane in each direction between Denny Way and Harrison Street for North Surface Street construction.

BELLTOWN

Summer: Expect single lane closures around Battery Street for ongoing utility work inside the Battery Street Tunnel.

DOWNTOWN WATERFRONT

Ongoing: Crews have begun removing the Alaskan Way Viaduct. Visit the work tracker to see current work locations and street closures.

SOUTH OF YESLER WAY

July 15: Yesler Way and South King Street are closed at Alaskan Way. Alaskan Way is reduced to two lanes at two separate locations between Yesler Way and South Dearborn Street.

UPCOMING NIGHTTIME NOISE WORK

  • Ongoing: Crews have begun removing the Alaskan Way Viaduct at multiple locations along Seattle's waterfront. Read more about what to expect from demolition.
  • July 20: At the intersection of Yesler Way and Alaskan Way, crews will be digging a trench for electrical conduit, 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • July 22-July 29: At the intersection of Denny Way and Seventh Avenue North, crews will use vac trucks and other equipment for underground vault work, 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
