Why is WSDOT resurfacing 12 miles of State Route 411 between Kelso and Castle Rock?
This stretch of highway is in need of pavement restoration due to the deterioration of the existing asphalt from normal traffic use.
The End Result
This project will extend the useful life of the pavement, therefore improving safety for drivers who use this stretch of State Route 411.

The work extends the life of the road and improves driver safety.
What is the project timeline?
Spring 2016: Project goes to bid for construction.
Summer 2016: Estimated construction start date.
Fall 2017: Scheduled construction completion date.
The project cost is part of a larger construction contract for resurfacing work on SR 4, SR 411 and SR 432 through Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties.
