Bicycling plays a key role in Washington's transportation system. In fact, Washington State was named the nation's number one "Bicycle Friendly State" by the League of American Bicyclists for the seventh year in a row!

WSDOT is working with USDOT to reduce the growing number of pedestrian and bicyclist injuries and fatalities through a comprehensive approach that addresses infrastructure safety, education, vehicle safety and data collection called Safer People - Safer Streets.

Gather your friends and ride to the Tumwater Historical Park to enjoy refreshments, bike workshops, a quick chair massage, be in this year’s group photo and maybe win a prize! Organized by public employees for public employees – all are welcome.

Starting points and times will be posted soon. Everyone will try to arrive at the park as close to noon as possible. An ASL Interpreter will be provided.
