Repairs begin on SR 509 in Tacoma
An eight-month repair project to repair fire damage on Tacoma's SR 509 Puyallup River Bridge gets under way Oct. 30. Motorists should expect delays and congestion, especially near Port of Tacoma Road. I-705, I-5 and Port of Tacoma Road are the recommended alternate route.
