I-90 Corridor Improvements

(State of good repair, safety, system management, demand management, capacity expansion)

  • Snoqualmie
    15-mile corridor, first 5 miles completed, 2 miles under construction (2019 completion); last 8 miles in design (construction in 2021-27)
    • Phase 1
      Completed 5 miles of new six-lane freeway from Hyak to Keechelus Dam: the second of two new avalanche bridges opened in the westbound direction in November
    • Phase 2
      Includes 2-mile portion from Keechelus Dam to Stampede Pass: installed second wildlife arch over freeway at Price Creek, includes six lanes
  • Spokane
    Repaired expansion joints on the downtown Spokane Viaduct and at 3rd Avenue Bridge, as well as resurfaced the bridge deck at 3rd Avenue
  • Lincoln County
    Resurfaced 16 miles of I-90 through the southeast corner of the county
