I-90 - 468th Ave SE to W Summit Rd - Concrete, Deck and Culvert Rehab

Project news

  • Work to replace cracked concrete in the eastbound lanes and repair bridge decks in the westbound lanes has resumed.
  • Plan for added travel time this summer due to lane closures and detours around the work zone.

Needs & benefits

The pavement on the 19-mile section of eastbound I-90 between North Bend and the summit of Snoqualmie Pass is cracked and in need of repair.

WSDOT contractor crews will repair the cracked concrete and replace select concrete panels that are damaged beyond repair. Crews will also repair several bridge decks in the westbound lanes.

Repairing this section of I-90 will provide a smoother driving surface and preserve the roadway and bridges for decades to come and reduce emergency repair costs.

  • Construction begins - Spring 2017
  • Construction complete - Fall 2019
