Contractors and consultants invited to event on Tuesday, Oct. 2

SEATTLE – The Seattle area is booming with opportunity, which means the Washington State Department of Transportation is looking for construction crews and consultants who want to take part in helping preserve and improve the transportation system.

WSDOT is hosting an open house in Seattle on Tuesday, Oct. 2. During the event, agency staff will highlight upcoming construction projects ahead of the busy contract bidding season. With each publicly funded project advertised, there is an opportunity for local firms to help keep people and goods moving safely.

This event is also a venue to build connections between contractors in the area.

“These projects help improve the commutes of hundreds of thousands of people daily,” said WSDOT Assistant Regional Administrator Amir Rasaie. “We want to use this opportunity to showcase this meaningful work, in hopes of contractors making us an owner of choice when deciding which projects to pursue.”
