    Wait Time
    For increased security and immigration processing vehicles leaving Sidney are advised to arrive 60 minutes ahead of sailing. Walk on passengers need to arrive 45 minutes in advance.     Directions to Sidney B.C. Terminal
    The terminal is located on Vancouver Island, 17 miles north of Victoria, B.C. on Highway 17.

    From downtown Victoria, B.C. drive along Blanshard Street (which becomes Highway 17). Drive approximately 17 miles to the McTavish turnoff (across from the airport). Turn right on McTavish, proceed one block, and turn left onto Lochside. Drive north along the sea shore to Ocean Avenue (across from the Information Center). Turn right on Ocean Avenue to the terminal entrance. Signs are posted from the Highway 17 turnoff to the terminal entrance.

    Sidney B.C. Terminal Parking
    Sidney has free parking about two blocks from the dock (at the Information Center) corner of Ocean and Lochside. Travelers wishing to utilize the free parking must also contact the Town of Sidney at (250) 656-4502 and advise of the vehicle description. Failure to do so may result in a parking ticket being issued. The vehicle owner must contact the Town of Sidney at 250-656-4502 before leaving a vehicle in this lot. There is no overnight parking near the terminal.

    Lost and Found
    All lost & found items on this route are turned into the Anacortes Terminal. You can reach the Lost & Found Department at 206-515-3439. Their hours of operation are 10:00am to 6:00pm Thursday thru Monday, closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Our Information Agents can also assist you with lost & found inquiries from 7:00am through 5:45pm daily at 206-464-6400 or 1-888-808-7977.

    Sidney B.C. Bicycle Information
    Please note: Bikes departing from Sidney to Friday Harbor will be loaded last, and offloaded first in Friday Harbor.

    Sidney B.C. Food Service Information
    After clearing US Immigrations, travelers must stay inside the fenced area of the Sidney dock for security. The Sidney Terminal provides a Deli and Gift Shop within the terminal confines. The Deli serves sandwiches, hotdogs, gourmet baked goods, coffee and soft drinks and the gift shop sells an array of items for the traveler, T- shirts, books and souvenirs. Deli hours are reflective of the vessel in the dock. For Spring hours are from 9:30 a.m. through the 11:40 a.m. departure. Food service has resumed on board the three-hour trip from Sidney to Anacortes, vending machines are also available on board.

    Motorcycles at Sidney B.C.
    Motorcycles may not bypass traffic. They are treated as cars and are “first come, first serve” through the tollbooth. Motorcycles will be instructed once you have cleared the tollbooth and Immigration for staging.

    Trucks at Sidney B.C.
    WSF requires trucks with a gross vehicle weight of over 80,000 lbs and/or over 8’6” wide to have “travel approval” before crossing any of our routes. Vessels on this route have a limited height clearance and trucks may be loaded out of sequence.

    Trucks that have a gross vehicle weight of over 80,000 lbs but are hauling less than 80,000 lbs will need to provide a weight slip.
