Career Paths - Maintenance

Career choices include bridge and tunnel maintenance, equipment maintenance, heavy equipment operation, highway maintenance, incident response, marine maintenance and operations, pavement markings/signage, and signal maintenance.

WSDOT is responsible for maintaining more than 7,000 miles of highways, over 11,000 vehicles, and nearly 3,500 bridges and structures, including the world's widest and second longest floating bridges. Our State Ferries has 24 vessels and carries more than 24 million passengers annually.
