Message from John Sibold, WSDOT Aviation Director:

Recently Governor Gregoire took several actions to reform Washington State’s government and revamp the way its programs and services are provided. One of the first steps taken by the Governor was to eliminate over 150 state boards, commissions, and advisory committees. Included on the list was the Aviation Advisory Committee.

The Washington State Transportation Commission formed the Aviation Advisory Committee in 2002 to advise the Aviation Director on policy issues. Our committee members have helped shape a new direction for WSDOT Aviation. This has resulted in a higher level of transparency and accountability for the department. I am deeply appreciative of the committee's involvement, input, and commitment to aviation.

As we move forward I will be looking for new opportunities to tap into industry talent to help guide our department on future strategic initiatives. WSDOT would like to thank the committee for its service.

• Advocate for your aviation interest.
  
• Serve on committee as long as desired – no term.
