Surveying Your Employees

Happy public servants
The CTR Law requires CTR-affected worksites to measure employee commute behavior every two years to determine their progress toward CTR goals.

To help worksites meet this requirement, the CTR Program makes a standard survey tool, and provides survey processing, available at no charge to the worksite. This survey is available using paper Scantron forms, or in an online version. Each version has its advantages in helping to achieve a high response rate.

Sites that are interested in the online survey should review the Is Online Surveying Right for Us? document and use the sample Communication to Information Technology/Systems Staff to obtain concurrence before determining which would be best for your site.

You may get permission to use equivalent data instead of the standard paper and online surveys. Please contact your jurisdiction representative to discuss this option.
