Design Guide for Cut Slopes in Loess of Southeastern Washington

This guide presents criteria for site exploration, laboratory testing, and design of cut slopes in loessial soils for southeastern Washington State. Design schemes for slope drainage systems are presented also. A design checklist keyed to this guide is included in the appendix. A summary of typical soil properties and cut slope behavior is included.
