I-90 Bandera Road – Bridge Repair (eastbound milepost 45)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FREIGHT - Overwidth loads are prohibited from Exit 45 (milepost 45) to Cle Elum (milepost 80), except as follows: Loads up to 12 feet wide are allowed all nights between the hours of 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Loads up to 14 feet wide can only be accommodated Saturday and Sunday nights between the hours of 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Traffic is reduced to two lanes eastbound, 24 hours per day, through July. Loads wider than 12 feet are prohibited.
Project Description:
An oversize load attempted to cross beneath I-90 on Bandera Road, striking the bridge and severely damaging a couple of the girders. This project will replace these damaged girders.

I-90 Hyak to Keechelus Dam Project (mileposts 54 to 62)

Crews will close I-90 in both directions from Hyak (milepost 54) to Price Creek (milepost 61). This work is weather dependent and is subject to change.

Memorial Day Weekend Travel Information: Construction related roadway restrictions will be on hold Friday, May 25, through Monday, May 28, to accommodate holiday weekend traffic.
Daytime restrictions: Drivers may experience minor delays during the week due to rolling slowdowns. Exit 54 westbound is closed 24 hrs. a day from Tuesday morning until Saturday morning.
Nighttime restrictions: Drivers may experience minor delays Tuesday through Friday nights from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. due to single lane closures.
Bicycle Alternate Route: I-90 is closed to bicycles in both directions between the Hyak interchange (Exit 54) and Stampede Pass interchange (exit 62) because there is no shoulder for bicyclists to use. The John Wayne Pioneer Trail has been plowed and is now available for use as a detour bicycle route.
Project Description:
This project is located in Kittitas County on Interstate 90, beginning in the Hyak vicinity (milepost 55) and continues five miles east on I-90 to the Keechelus Dam vicinity (milepost 60). This work includes building six new lanes, adding and replacing bridges and culverts, stabilizing rock slopes, extending chain-up and chain-off areas, and demolishing and replacing the snowshed.

SR 10 - Bristol Fill Bridge Deck Replacement

SR 10 is closed to through traffic until late Fall 2012.
Detour information
• Westbound traffic will be detoured onto northbound US 97 near Ellensburg and proceed about 13 miles to SR 970. Turning left onto westbound SR 970, for about seven miles, takes you to the intersection with SR 10 at Teanaway, about three miles east of Cle Elum.
• Eastbound traffic will be detoured onto eastbound SR 970 at Teanaway, about three miles east of Cle Elum, and proceed about seven miles to US 97. Turning right onto southbound US 97, for about 13 miles, takes you to the intersection with SR 10, about three miles west of Ellensburg.
• I-90 is also available as a detour route.
Project Description:
The SR 10 Bristol Fill Bridge deck at milepost 90 is being replaced along with minor guardrail work and pavement patching. The bridge is about 16 miles west of Ellensburg and requires closing SR 10 between north east of Ellensburg and east of Cle Elum for about 5 months.

US 12 / State Route 124 Intersection – Build Interchange

US 12 and SR 124 Intersection: On Tuesday, May 29, to Friday, June 1, during daylight hours, intermittent single lane closures eastbound and westbound from the Snake River Bridge, near milepost 294, to the Humorist Intersection, near milepost 296.
Project Description:
The US 12/State Route 124 and US 12/Humorist Road Intersections, near Burbank, have experienced a number of collisions. This project will construct a new interchange at State Route 124, and an overpass at the Humorist Road Intersection, reducing the number of collisions and improving operation of the highway.

SR 124: On Wednesday, May 30, to Friday, June 1, during daylight hours, there will be intermittent lane closures with traffic piloted through the construction zone from Neff Road, near milepost 17, to the old Burlington Northern Railroad Bridge, near milepost 23. Minor delays can be anticipated.
Project Description:
SR 124 from milepost 17.61 to milepost 22.62 in Walla Walla County will have the travel lanes ground out and re-paved. The project will also repair some guardrail, replace some signs and re-stripe the roadway.

US 12 milepost 314.5: Tuesday, May 29 through Friday, June 1, during daylight hours, motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures for fiber installation. Flaggers will assist vehicles through the work zones.
US 12 milepost 309 just east of Wallula Junction: Tuesday, May 29 and Wednesday, May 30, expect flagger controlled one lane traffic for guardrail repair.

US 97 / Satus Creek Vicinity – Replace Br. 97/106 and Paving

US 97: From Tuesday, May 29, to Friday, June 1 , during daylight hours, there will be intermittent lane closures with traffic piloted through the construction zone. Minor delays can be anticipated.
US 97, between milepost 44 and milepost 47, the speed limit has been reduced to 55 miles per hour through the construction zone.
Project Description:
The US 97 / Satus Creek Vicinity – Replace Bridge. 97/106 and Paving project will construct a new bridge to current standards, preserving route continuity and improve safety. The project will also realign and widen this section of highway and restore signing, striping and other safety features. Traffic will be driving on a temporary bridge while the new structure is constructed.
SR 410 Nile Valley Landslide Reconstruct Route

Current Week Traffic Advisory:
There will be no impacts to traffic, although be mindful of trucks entering the highway at the intersection of SR 410 and the Nile Valley Road.
Project Description:
This project will reconstruct the roadway destroyed by the Nile Valley Landslide of October 2009. SR 410 will be rebuilt around the toe of the slide. Other project work will include creating a buttress to support of the slide from further movement and environmental remediation and restoration work to prevent erosion of the river bank.
Maintenance / Utility Operations:
Interstate 82 near Selah milepost 30: On Sunday, June 3 from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the right two eastbound lanes on I-82, from Selah over the Twin Bridges will be closed. The eastbound SR 823 on ramp to eastbound I-82 will be closed. A detour will be in place over the Rest Haven overpass. This lane restriction and ramp closure are for routine bridge maintenance.
Interstate 82 milepost 30 eastbound, between Yakima River and Naches River Bridges: On Wednesday, May 30 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. motorist will experience a left lane closure for maintenance work.
