In October 2011, we demolished the southern mile of the SR 99 Alaskan Way Viaduct between S. Holgate and S. King streets and replaced it with the first of two new bridges. Currently, both directions of traffic are using the new SR 99 bridge. The second bridge, which will eventually carry northbound traffic is currently under construction.
