I-90 Snoqualmie Pass East Vicinity Map

Project Location

The I-90 Snoqualmie Pass East Project extends 15-miles from Hyak to Easton. Currently, the first five miles are under construction from Hyak to Keechelus Dam, which was funded by the 2005 gas tax, and is scheduled to be complete in 2017.

The 2012 Transportation Budget directs WSDOT to continue preliminary design of the I-90 corridor with project savings from Phase 1 (Hyak to Keechelus Dam vicinity).

Improvements to the corridor include building a new six-lane highway, stabilizing rock slopes, building wildlife crossings, improving sight distance by reducing sharp curves, adding new chain-up areas and replacing the site of the Price / Nobel Creek Sno-Park.
