What is the Fish Passage Program six-year plan?
The six-year plan for fish passage is a long-range project delivery plan. It incorporates the Legislature’s new revenue funding and communicates WSDOT’s intentions for specific investments in transportation infrastructure.
Fish passage projects in the six-year plan are listed in order of their planned date of advertisement for contractors’ bids. The plan may change as projects are further developed and reach the stage of obtaining construction permits.
Many, but not all, of the fish passage projects are included in the federal court injunction requiring the state to significantly increase the effort to remove state-owned culverts that block habitat for salmon and steelhead.
