I-5 express lanes schedule changes

WSDOT typically operates the I-5 express lanes during the weekdays in the southbound direction from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. and northbound from noon to 11 p.m. The weekend schedule operates southbound from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and northbound from 2 to 11 p.m.

• Monday, May 28 - The express lanes will operate on the normal weekend schedule: southbound from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and northbound from 2 to 11 p.m.

• Tuesday, May 29 to the morning of Friday, June 1 - Crews will close the right lane of northbound I-5 in various locations between Dearborn Avenue and Northeast 145th Street, nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work.
• Tuesday, May 29 to the morning of Friday, June 1 - Crews will close the right lane of southbound I-5 in various locations between Northeast 145th Street and Dearborn Avenue, nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work.
• Tuesday, May 29 to the morning of Friday, June 1 -Crews will close one lane in the express lanes at 8 p.m. nightly, for construction work. The lanes will close to all traffic at their normal time of 11 p.m. The lanes will reopen daily in the southbound direction at 5 a.m.

• Tuesday, May 29 to the mornig of Friday, June 1 - Crews will close two lanes of southbound I-5 at Northeast 45th Street, nightly, for shaft drilling and concrete work. The first lane closes at 9 p.m., the second at 11 p.m. and both lanes reopen daily by 5 a.m.
• Tuesday, May 29 to the morning of Friday, June 1 -Crews will close the Northeast 50th Street on-ramp to southbound I-5, nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Drivers will be detoured to the Northeast 45th Street on-ramp.
• Sunday, June 3 to the morning of Monday, June 4 - Crews will close two lanes of southbound I-5 at Northeast 45th Street for concrete work. The first lane closes at 9 p.m., the second at 11 p.m. and both lanes reopen by 5 a.m.
• Sunday, June 3  - Crews will close one lane of the I-5 express lanes near Northeast 45th Street at 8 p.m. The express lanes will close at their normal time of 11 p.m.
