  • DRIVER ALERT: Saturday, Nov. 1 to the morning of Sunday, Nov. 2 - Up to four lanes of northbound I-5 between South 188th Street and the Southcenter Parkway exit will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for sign bridge removal work. One lane will remain open during the work.

  • Sept. 8 to mid-November - Northbound and southbound drivers using I-5 at Northgate Way may experience heavier than normal traffic volumes during peak times.
    • Seattle DOT will reduce North Northgate Way to one lane in the vicinity of I-5 while crews repave the roadway. this may cause heavier than normal volumes on the ramps from I-5 to N. Northgate Way.

   *Detour maps for ramp closures are available on the project website.*  

  • Monday, Oct. 27 to the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 29 - Up to four right lanes of southbound I-5 between Northeast 155th Street and Northeast 117th Street will close nightly from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for concrete panel replacement work. This work is weather dependent. The ramp from Northeast 130th Street to southbound I-5 will also be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Wednesday, October 29 to the morning of Friday, October 31 - Up to four right lanes of northbound I-5 from Northeast 145th Street to Northeast 185th Street will be closed from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly for concrete panel replacement work. The ramp from Northeast 145th Street to northbound I-405 and the Metro flyover stop on northbound I-5 at Northeast 145th Street will also be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly. This work is weather dependent.
