Traffic Advisory

No overnight closure on US 12 west of Naches Dec. 14

But clearing rocks could cause up to one hour delay

Drivers should prepare for one hour delay or consider alternate routes

NACHES – WSDOT and Scarsella Bros. Construction will continue working through the night Dec. 14, and the early morning hours of Dec. 14, to clear rock and debris from the work zone on US 12 (fifteen miles west of Naches).
Drivers may want to consider alternate routes. Delays of up to one hour may be necessary. These work hours were chosen to have minimal traffic impacts.
"The delays to traffic, although inconvenient for travelers, will allow crews to safely clear the rock and debris from the highway," said Paul Gonseth, WSDOT Project Engineer.
Several additional overnight closures for blasting may be necessary on Monday or Thursday nights between now and Dec. 31.
Alternate routes:
I-90 Snoqualmie Pass and US 97 Satus Pass to I-84 in Oregon are the recommended alternate routes.
Drivers travelling these routes should prepare for winter driving conditions: allow more travel time and carry chains. On ice and snow - take it slow.
SR 123 Cayuse Pass and SR 410 Chinook Pass have been closed for the season due to heavy snow and avalanche danger.
