ARTIC – Motorists can expect flagger-controlled, one-way, alternating traffic on US 101 near SR 107 in Grays Harbor beginning Monday, Aug. 3 as work on a fish passage project begins.

This $728,000 project replaces a culvert along US 101 near Mosquito Creek that WSDOT identified as a fish barrier, meaning the current culvert prevents migratory fish from reaching upstream habitat. Crews will replace this culvert a three-sided concrete box that measures 137feet long, 10 feet high and 16 feet wide.

During construction, the contractor, Roglins, Inc. of Aberdeen, will construct a temporary roadway detour. Flagger-controlled, one-way, alternating traffic remains in effect while the temporary roadway is being constructed.
Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
