VANCOUVER – The Washington State Department of Transportation invites the public to an open house to learn more about the SR 500, St. Johns Interchange project. Over the course of this project, a portion of St. Johns Boulevard will be closed for one year. The public is encouraged to attend to learn more about their commute options during construction.
The project will construct a new freeway-style interchange at the existing signalized intersection. This project will improve safety by reducing traffic collisions at the intersection of SR 500 and St. Johns Boulevard. The project will also improve mobility by decreasing travel times and delays through this heavily traveled corridor. Construction is scheduled to begin in summer 2010.
Details of the open house are as follows:
Wednesday, June 3
4:30 – 7:30 p.m. (stop by anytime)
Washington Elementary School
2908 S Street
Vancouver, WA 98663
Displays of the project plans will be available for viewing at the open house. Additionally, WSDOT representatives will be available to answer questions, and receive public feedback on project-related concerns and suggestions. There will be no formal presentations, so attendees are encouraged to stop by anytime between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.
