SEATTLE – Interstate 90 travelers should plan for the express lanes to be closed Tuesday, February 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drivers can expect added congestion on westbound I-90 during this closure. The express lanes will be open in the eastbound direction for the evening commute.
Crews will be performing monthly maintenance work on the express lanes. This work includes checking that the signal lights, gates and other safety features operate properly to allow the lanes to switch between eastbound and westbound traffic.
Maintenance work for the I-90 express lanes is typically scheduled on the first Tuesday of every month.
