CONCRETE – Crews will reopen one lane of SR 20 at 6 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 15 just east of Concrete. The highway has been closed for a week after slides buried the highway with mud and debris and tore out guardrail and power poles.

One lane will remain closed for at least one more week while crews replace damaged guardrail and continue to remove mud and debris from the shoulders and ditches of the highway.

Flaggers will alternate traffic through the work zone. Drivers should expect minimal delays.

Crews have worked daily since the mudslides happened to clear 800 cubic yards of debris from the road. Another 500 cubic yards remains in the ditches and along the shoulders.
