From the OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR

OLYMPIA – On Tuesday, January 13, 2009, Gov. Chris Gregoire, along with King County Executive Ron Sims, City of Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels, and Chief Executive Officer of the Port of Seattle Tay Yoshitani announced the proposal to replace the Alaskan Way Viaduct that will be presented to the state Legislature for consideration.
