TACOMA – Repairing damaged guardrail requires closing the ramp from eastbound SR 16 to northbound I-5 overnight Saturday.

At 9 p.m., Nov. 1, crews will close the ramp and the left lane of eastbound SR 16 just prior to the ramp. Crews will be off the roadway by 7 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2.

Motorists wishing to access northbound I-5 from eastbound SR 16 will detour to 38th Street. Signs and highway advisory radio messages along the highway will help guide drivers.

Construction of a new westbound Nalley Valley viaduct begins late this year or early next year. For more information about this project, visit www.tacomatraffic.com.
