Overnight lane closures planned for Thursday on I-5 through Lynnwood and south Everett

EVERETT – Drivers can expect delays on Interstate 5 through Lynnwood and south Everett on Thursday night for roadwork.

The closures are:

  • Thursday, Oct. 16 - WSDOT crews will close a single lane of northbound I-5 from 44th Avenue W. in Lynnwood to SR 526 in Everett from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to collect asphalt samples for construction planning. You can see traffic from this camera: www.wsdot.wa.gov/traffic/seattle/i5_112thsb.htm

  • Thursday, Oct. 16 - Crews will close the two right lanes of southbound I-5 from State Route 526 to 112th Street SE from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. to install new lighting. The first lane closes at 7 p.m. The second lane closes at 8 p.m. All lanes will open by 5 a.m. The work is part of the South Everett Freeway Station.
