SUMNER – Bridge maintenance requires the closure of the SR 162 overpass at SR 410 in Sumner this weekend.
The closure begins at 4 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27 so crews can perform repair work to bridge joints. Crews will be off the roadway by 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28.

During the closure, the following detour routes will be available to SR 162 drivers:
• Westbound traffic will detour onto eastbound SR 410 to 166th Avenue East.
• Eastbound traffic will detour onto westbound SR 410 to Traffic Avenue/East Main Avenue.

Motorists on SR 167 will be able to access eastbound SR 162. Drivers wanting to go westbound on SR 162 should exit at 166th Street.
Westbound SR 410 traffic coming from Bonney Lake can travel westbound onto SR 162. Those motorists wishing to go eastbound on SR 162 should take Traffic Avenue/East Main Avenue.
