REDMOND – Construction work at a major city of Redmond intersection will affect drivers on SR 520 for the next two weekends:

• 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 26 to 6 a.m., Monday, Sept. 29
• 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 3 to 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6

Drivers should expect delays at the intersection of Avondale and Union Hill roads, where SR 520 ends. The Washington State Department of Transportation warns these delays could back up traffic on SR 520. The city is building right turn lanes which will help increase capacity at this intersection.
