EVERETT – Drivers can expect delays on northbound Interstate 5 through south Everett on Thursday night as crews work to finish Sound Transit’s South Everett park and ride lot.
The closure is:
- Thursday, Sept. 18 - Crews will close the two left lanes of northbound I-5 from the 128th Street SE bridge to the 112th Street SE bridge from 8 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday to upgrade signs. The first lane closes at 8 p.m. The second lane closes at 9 p.m. All lanes will open by 6 a.m.
The new park and ride is scheduled to officially open Sunday, Sept. 21. New ramps will allow buses, carpools and vanpools to go directly to and from the I-5 HOV lanes to a new 400-stall park and ride lot in the I-5 median at 112th Street SE. A new access road from 112th Street SE will allow single-occupant vehicles to reach the park and ride lot. For more information, visit www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/i5/SouthEverett
