PUYALLUP – Paving work requires crews to close the ramp from SR 161 to northbound SR 167 overnight Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The ramp closures are scheduled to occur from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day, Sept. 23-27. During the closures, signs will direct drivers to use SR 512 to access northbound SR 167.
The paving work is part of an ongoing safety project that realigns the on- and off-ramps at the SR 161/SR 167 interchange. The realignments, coupled with upgraded traffic signal systems at this intersection, are designed to improve traffic flow and reduce collisions.
This $3 million “Nickel” project is scheduled to wrap up next month. For more details about the project, visit www.wsdot.wa.gov/projects/sr161/sr167_eramp/.
