EVERETT – Late night and early morning drivers can expect delays through south Everett next week as crews close multiple lanes of southbound Interstate 5 for striping of the roadway.

Tuesday, Sept. 2 – morning of Friday, Sept. 5
- Crews will close the three left lanes of southbound I-5 nightly from SR 526 to 112th Street SE from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for striping.

The work is weather dependent, and may need to be rescheduled.

The work is part of Sound Transit’s South Everett Freeway Station project. When the project is complete, buses, carpools and vanpools will be able to go directly to and from the I-5 HOV lanes to a new 400-stall park-and-ride lot in the I-5 median at 112th Street SE. A new access road from 112th Street SE will allow single-occupant vehicles to reach the park-and-ride. For more information, visit www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/i5/SouthEverett
