VANCOUVER – Pavement repairs will close several ramps on I-5, I-205 and SR 500 starting this weekend, announces the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes as WSDOT Maintenance crews repair ramps to provide for a smoother and safer ride.
The closures are necessary for the safety of the public as well as the Maintenance workers making repairs to the ramps. Each closure will last from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following day.
Sunday, August 17: The ramps from I-205 southbound to both eastbound and westbound SR 14 will be closed.
Monday, August 18: The ramp from I-205 southbound to SR 14 eastbound will be closed.
Tuesday, August 19: The ramp from I-5 northbound to City Center (Exit 1B) will be closed.
Wednesday, August 20: The ramps from SR 500, both eastbound and westbound, to I-205 southbound will be closed.
Advanced warning signs will be posted during the closures. Motorists are asked to please pay attention to the warning signs and are also reminded that traffic fines double within a construction work zone when workers are present (RCW 46.61.527).
