WSDOT Travel Advisory
US 97 traffic back to normal between Wapato and Toppenish
TOPPENISH– WSDOT and the contractor finished the railroad crossing reconstruction at the intersection of US 97 and Branch Road just west of Toppenish and returned traffic to normal at 12:12 p.m. today.
Oversize loads are no longer prohibited.
Northbound and southbound US 97 traffic had been detoured and oversize loads were prohibited on Progressive Road and Olden Way Road, just west of Toppenish since July 21. The only remaining work at this crossing is to install the new cantilever arms which can be done without closing the highway.
