SEATTLE – Drivers in south Everett should expect delays Thursday night as crews close two lanes in both directions of Interstate 5. Crews will stripe the on-and off-ramps to the new park and ride lot and part of I-5 under the 112th Street bridge. The work is part of Sound Transit’s South Everett Freeway Station project.

On Thursday, July 17 crews will close two lanes in both directions of I-5 from SR 526 to 128th Street SE beginning at 8 p.m. All lanes are expected to re-open by 5 a.m. Friday morning.

When the project is complete, buses, carpools and vanpools will be able to go directly from the I-5 HOV lanes to a new 400-stall park-and-ride lot in the I-5 median at 112th Street SE. A new access road from 112th Street SE will allow single-occupant vehicles to reach the park-and-ride. For more information, visit www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/i5/SouthEverett
