SEATTLE – Drivers could experience delays through south Everett on Wednesday, July 30 as crews close multiple lanes of Interstate 5 for striping. The work is part of Sound Transit’s South Everett Freeway Station project.

Wednesday, July 30 - Crews will close the left lane of southbound I-5 and the two right lanes of northbound I-5 from 128th Street SE to SR 527 for striping. The work is weather dependent. The southbound lane will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and the northbound lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

When the project is complete, buses, carpools and vanpools will be able to go directly to and from the I-5 HOV lanes to a new 400-stall park-and-ride lot in the I-5 median at 112th Street SE.

A new access road from 112th Street SE will allow single-occupant vehicles to reach the park-and-ride. For more information, visit www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/i5/SouthEverett
