BELLINGHAM – Now that crews have finished panel repair work and repaved on- and off-ramps on I-5 in Bellingham, they need to add permanent striping.

Crews will stripe the highway between Samish Way and Sunset Drive from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, July 29 and 30. Minimal delays are expected. The work is weather dependent.

WSDOT reminds drivers to give striping crews plenty of room and to watch for “wet paint” signs. Drivers who cross wet paint when warning signs are present won’t be eligible for reimbursement through the WSDOT claims process. If drivers do get paint on their vehicles, they should try and wash the paint off as quickly as possible.
