BELLINGHAM – Drivers can expect delays and slowdowns on July 23 and 24 at the Britton Road intersection on Mount Baker Highway (SR 542).
Crews will close one lane today, July 23, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. for preparation work on the shoulder of the highway. Crews will also close one lane on Thursday, July 24, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The closures will alternate between eastbound and westbound lanes.
The work is part of a safety improvement project to add turn and refuge lanes near Britton Road to improve safety at the intersection. Crews hope to pave and stripe the area in the next week.
