SEATTLE - WSDOT Ferries Division announced today that the 188-car Walla Walla will return to service on the Seattle/Bremerton route Monday, February 18, for the 3 p.m. sailing earlier than anticipated. The Walla Walla joins the 124-car ferry Kitsap on this route.

The Walla Walla, which has been operating on the Edmonds/Kingston route, is available for service because the 188-car Spokane has moved from Todd Pacific Shipyards.

The 149-passenger vessel Snohomish will cease service on the Seattle/Bremerton route with the return of the Walla Walla. The two 149-passenger vessels leased from Victoria Express will continue operating their normal schedule on Monday, Feb. 18. These two boats will cease service on this route after the operating day on Monday, Feb. 18.

The Seattle/Bremerton route went to one boat service when the 144-car Hyak developed mechanical problems on Feb. 13 and was removed from service. The two Victoria Express passenger vessels and the Snohomish were used to supplement service.
