HOQUIAM – During the 10-week US 101 Simpson Avenue Bridge closure, drivers are encouraged to “Know Before You Go” and utilize three new traffic cameras in the area.

WSDOT installed the new cameras Friday, Feb. 22. The cameras face in both directions of US 101, and a third looks toward the Simpson Avenue Bridge. The cameras allow the traveling public to check traffic in the area before they go and plan for extra travel time if necessary.

Work on the $9.2 million project moves ahead this week. Crews plan to repair the concrete counterweights and finish installation on the new control house.
