WSDOT opens westbound I-90 Indian John Hill rest area near Cle Elum ahead of schedule

CLE ELUM – At 7 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, WSDOT and the contractor finished the water system repair and were able to open the westbound I-90 Indian John Hill rest area near Cle Elum several days ahead of the Dec. 17th re-opening estimate.

Work on the eastbound I-90 Indian John Hill rest area looks to be on schedule for opening on Monday, December 17th.

The Indian John Hill rest areas have been closed frequently for short periods of time to do temporary repairs on the water systems. The replacements and repairs being done now are more substantial and should keep the systems functioning well for many years to come.
