WSDOT has an important role in supporting economic development. We are committed to increasing business opportunities for all businesses. For businesses that are federally certified as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), we are providing additional training and business support services to help you be successful on ARRA projects.

What is Disadvantaged Business Enterprises?
Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) is a program to increase the opportunities for minority and women-owned small businesses to participate in federally funded projects. All ARRA projects are federally funded.

How do I become a DBE or M/WBE?

How do I know which contractors may have DBE work available?
WSDOT’s Contract Ad & Award Office provides a list of plan holders for highway construction contracts that are being advertised for bids.

What resources are available to me?
Many resources exist to assist DBEs become successful or more successful in doing business with WSDOT. Some services are provided directly by or through WDOT or its partners; others are provided strictly by other agencies and organizations.
