Tom Cash

Southwest Region’s Electronic Supervisor Tom Cash is no novice to balancing the demands of a multi-faceted job. As a 22-year veteran with WSDOT, Tom works closely with staff across the region, repairing lights, traffic signals, Variable Message Signs (VMS), and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) such as cameras and fiber-optic cables. Ng has worked for the department since April 1, 2005 (April Fools’ Day). He graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Civil Engineering. In his four years, he’s both designed and inspected construction projects in Whatcom and Skagit counties, and he currently is a design team leader. Ken Heale

Ken Heale serves the people of Washington State in two different capacities. First as the WSDOT Eastern Region Transportation Electronics Supervisor, secondly as a Chief Master Sergeant in the Washington Air National Guard. Ken joined the WSDOT team in 1998 coming from the City of Lynnwood Public Works Department. Dan Wisner

Retiring from the Navy after serving 22 years as part of the US Navy Seabees, Dan Wisner went to work on the I-405 project with HNTB Consulting. After commuting from Chehalis to Bellevue for 2 years, he joined WSDOT in 2006 in the Olympic Region Lakewood Office as a Project Controller, and later transferred to the Chehalis office. Ross Hallman has worked for Washington State Ferries since June 2006. Although he has worked at other terminals since becoming a WSF employee, he has decided he likes Seattle's Pier 52 and has remained there across several bid cycles. It was a documentary on the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in Missoula, Montana that inspired Kevin Carlascio to pursue a career in Civil Engineering. “I was watching a special about a project in Boston called the ‘Big Dig,’ which was a megaproject that re-routed Interstate 93 into a 2.5 mile tunnel under Boston.
