WSDOT is a recognized leader in providing accessible, transparent, credible and accurate performance reports on agency programs and projects. The Gray Notebook and Corridor Capacity Report are just two examples of this work.
WSDOT supplements its performance reporting with research and other documentation related to the fields of transportation, performance measurement and accountability. Through the Office of Strategic Assessment and Performance Analysis (OSAPA), WSDOT has a rich history of proactive analysis, translating highly technical data into easily understood data visualizations and plain English.
While the Gray Notebook is WSDOT's main performance assessment, reporting and communication tool, the agency also produces or partners in many other accountability and performance products. Use the links below to explore the various reports and resources available.

In addition to performance reporting, WSDOT leads research and development in transportation performance measurement and accountability to further reinforce the agency's visionary multimodal transportation policy.
MAP-21 In July 2012, the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21) became law. The primary objectives of MAP-21 are to increase the transparency and accountability of states for their investment of federal taxpayer dollars into transportation infrastructure and services nationwide, and to ensure that states invest money in transportation projects that collectively make progress toward the achievement of national goals.
Results Washington Governor Jay Inslee's performance management system establishes a strategic framework for his administration and sets the state's vision and mission.
